How do I know when I need help from an accountancy firm?

If you have a business you need to make sure you keep proper business records, prepare accounts and file tax returns. These are legal requirements. To meet your obligations you may need the help of an accountancy firm. You want to protect yourself and ensure you don’t overpay Revenue. You may need help to improve your business and do things in a way that will save you time to focus on your core business and/ avoid added stress. What is the difference between an accountant and a tax consultant?

Accountants deal with matters such as accounts, company formations, auditing, bookkeeping, company secretarial, raising finance, helping to improve the profitability of businesses and so much more.

Tax advisors look after specific tax issues for an individual or businesses such as tax returns, tax structuring, tax planning for the future and advising on specific transactions

What should I do if I have a query relating to a letter I have received from Revenue or the CRO?

If you have received correspondence, we would advise you to call the relevant body & ask for further information, if necessary. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, give our office a call and we would be happy to arrange a meeting with one of our team. Can I call and speak to someone quickly regarding a small question that I have in relation to an accounts / tax matter?

Unfortunately we work by appointment only for new clients while our team look after our existing clients, but rest assured you won’t have to wait long for an appointment. It is vital that the specific circumstances of your query are examined in full to get to the best outcome for you. Everyone’s circumstances are different and it’s important to understand your circumstances to help us and you come up with the best solution

When can I expect to have a meeting with Comerford Foley?

If you wish to arrange a consultation with Comerford Foley you will be afforded an hour of our experts time to explore your query. There is a charge for this consultation, so that we have time to prepare in advance and come back to you if there is a need to follow up on anything for you. As such, you will get great value from this call

Are CF hosting face to face meetings at the offices in Tramore?

The CF team are working remotely at present and there are no face to face meetings. As such all meetings are conducted over ZOOM

What is the cost of a consultation with CF?

The cost of the consultation is dependent on the nature of your query and which team member you meet but range in price from €75 to €125 plus Vat.
